The Sentinel record-keeping system allows FBI officials and investigators to review and research the status of investigations both past and current. The Sentinel system is also the information system that is searched for responsive documents to legal cases and FOIA inquires. The Sentinel system contains all the information used by the FBI.
Within the Sentinel system there are “Restricted Access” files that are used to control who can view the file information. The FBI official can see the file but cannot access the information within it without a higher clearance level. However, now people are discovering there is a “Prohibited Access” designation that makes the file invisible to searches or queries and is controlled by the FBI Director and FBI Deputy Director.
Margot Cleveland is asking some good questions about how the use of the “Prohibited Access” designation may circumvent the FBI’s legal requirements (brady material) and FOIA searches. [SEE HERE] However, I would also note this approach hides information not only from congress and from the public, but also from the Executive branch itself. The DNI wouldn’t even know what information exists.
Additionally, we can expand the overall issue to highlight this same approach at work in various other governmental agencies. This is one of the reasons I refer to the agencies within government more aptly as information “silos.” More
You can bet that these hidden files are chock full of exculpatory evidence as well as prosecutable evidence, all controlled by assholes like Comey and Wray who intentionally kept their fingers on the Justice scales in democrat’s and uniparty republican’s favor.
Cannot help but observe that the worst investigations are those concerning the crimes within government and not those perpetrated in the private sector. This reinforces my belief that most of our gov’t’s time and resources at the DoJ is spent either covering up their internal crimes or finding ways to exonerate gov’t crimes.
How much tax-paid dollars are we spending to deal with our corrupt gov’t?!
AA – How much tax-paid dollars are we spending to deal with our corrupt gov’t?!
They got that covered up too down in Third Level Deep files.
I hope the DOGE boys can sniff that out with their 4th Level AI…
They don’t want to destroy information because that is Illegal,
So,
how is Hiding it for political reasons any different?
Same sh^t, Same Crime, Same Time.
It really irritates me when the media, even Fox, act like Elon didn’t accomplish what he set out to do. And they’re talking about that he didn’t save a specifically huge amount of money.
But then they completely overlook what he did accomplish, which was to set in motion a way to dig out exactly stuff like this by people who understand how the information/digital systems work and can pinpoint where there is a problem. Does it save the “right” amount immediately? Maybe not but over time it may save a great deal more.
Not to mention make it a lot harder for the bad actors to hide non-monetary stuff like this. And the brilliant thing is that the DOGE team doesn’t even have to have those high clearances to “look” at the supposedly top secret stuff. All they have to do is ask, hey, what’s this weird thing that maybe should/shouldn’t be there? (Like, ya know, the missing “what’s this for” fields on the payments. 🙄) Then the people with the clearances can actually look at it and, ya know, do their jobs.
Well, there you go cash and Danni boi bongino , release the info. Oh , you don’t go after dirty cops , then get the t#co out..
Comey and Wray need to face decades in prison.
Bad boys, bad boys. The FBI needs to be totally destroyed and rebuilt. I thought Bongino and Kash knew this. WTF over?
Anonymous: “decades in prison” as fertilizer for the shrubs.
