Sen. Joe Minchin delivered a sharp rebuke Friday to Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid for denouncing Americans who elected Donald Trump.
“Senator Harry Reid’s statement today attacking President-elect Trump is wrong! It is an absolute embarrassment to the Senate as an institution, our Democratic party, and the nation,” Mr. Manchin, West Virginia Democrat, said in a statement released late Friday.
“I want to be very clear, he does not speak for me,” said Mr. Manchin, one of the most conservative Democrats in the upper chamber of the U.S. Congress.
Mr. Reid, Nevada Democrat, lashed out at Americans who backed Mr. Trump, saying they confirmed the ascendance of “hate and bigotry in America.”
“Watching white nationalists celebrate while innocent Americans cry tears of fear does not feel like America,” said Mr. Reid, who is retiring from the Senate this year. more here

Joe Manchin became a Senator Nov 15th, 2010. Obamacare, was passed in the senate on December 24, 2009, and passed in the house on March 21, 2010. It was signed into law by Obumbles on March 23rd, 2010
JM did not cast a deciding vote for Obamacare. He was still governor of WV when Obamacare was passed. His predecessor Jay Rockefeller cast the deciding vote.
However, I have little doubt JM would have voted for it if he had been a senator at the time.
He clearly paraded around with a rifle in his hands droning on about hunting when he was seeking the office. Then immediately after becoming a senator became Obama’s waterboy carrying the message for gun control. Teaming up with Sen Toomey if I recall correctly. Weakening restrictions on government from infringing on our rights and liberties means little to Joe.
