  1. “numerous Americans have had to be involved in training their replacements.”

This could be framing the argument. The implication here is that the replacements lack competency, education, or skill when it could be just procedural training or company policy, which differs from place to place and country to country.

An extension of making America great is making American companies great, companies that dominate world markets and can crush international competitors.

  2. Any one who has actually worked for companies that participate in the h1b game know how it works. Some job postings are strictly h1b. Training overseas people is a completely different thing. H1b are the imports and future anchor baby factories. You bring one and soon the whole family is here and grandparents will be given benefits. Usually living together in the same house until they can buy the one across the street and start a new family compound. They only hire whatever nationality they came from and are basically a new clic in the workplace. We have to assimilate to them. Sorry charlie but people raised to poop in the street are not doing the bulk work at any stateside company. They lower salaries and no, those third world college degrees are not equivalent to ours. Many of the chicom spies are from this policy. This is an has long been little more than another grift and corporate welfare scheme. Artificially increasing supply to change the economics for a few while placing the cost on citizens. What’s that horrible smell coming from the break room? Something you wouldn’t feed your dog.

  3. He should be able to explain it.
He and his colleagues have sat on their hands the past four years watching it happen.
I don’t recall any serious efforts to bring it into the spotlight.
Texas and Paxton were just about the only resistance we had.

  4. Been there done that. I was an IT specialist that got screwed by H1B workers. in 2003 I had all the certs and a Computer Science BS. I couldn’t buy a job. I fell back on my military training and made more than twice what i did in IT.

  5. I pretty damn happy the way this has evolved right now. A Republic at work. Elon was enlightened, Trump learned a few things and they’ve come up with the perfect solution.
Elon is strategic to our movement. Because he owns the big ass flash light.

  6. I’ve lived this game the last 30+ years…

I don’t code Python very well. The 2.x vs. 3.x transition took some time to swallow. I code C, Perl, and Bash shell. C++ was at the forefront when I graduated college, and the whole OOP thing was still playing out. Java was the big deal at the end of the 90’s… And I hated it. Even reading it made my wrists hurt back when I wasn’t worried about arthritis & carpel tunnel. So many boilerplate definitions before you even started working… Anyhow…

The H1B program has a couple split’s int the system. You have the H1B via that stay’s and become a perm-resident/citizen, and those that go back home to Taiwan/China/India. With a select middle that retires back home… There are almost no other players… There were a few French in the mix in then 90’s, but they’re almost all gone at this point. These day’s the other major players just phone it in as remote workers. (i.e. The Poles, who are quite good, etc..)

The goal is to come in and make it big, or come in and take something home… By that I mean move up in to Sr. management, or drag an entire line of product development line back to their home country. The end game is always to offshore the “tech-support tail” to someone not in the US…

I’ve actually watched Taiwan take over a couple American Businesses and “drag them back” . Taiwan is every bit as bad as China when it comes to stealing shit. Maybe worse. But back to the subject at hand, in short. Elon and Trump now agree before you hire an foreigner you need to prove you can’t hire an American citizen. And that H1-B has to cost 10% more than their domestic counter part. I’m thinking this is a good plan.
