Senator Patrick Leahy, 82, broke his hip in a fall at his home in McLean, Virginia on Wednesday evening and is undergoing surgery Thursday morning, his office announced.

If ever there was a Senator in competition with Joe Biden for stupidest Senator, it would be Patrick Leahy.
@cheryl: That’s how my mother died – she only lasted 3 days. No hip replacement even though the surgeon was really, really, pushing me to say “yes” to a hip replacement. My mother was 98, I won’t tell you what I told the surgeon, he’s probably still grinding it through his head – that was last October. But you’re right, stick a fork in him, Leahy is done….good riddance to any liberal who “drops dead”.
