Shopping Day

Newsweek

Americans [democrats] are pledging to stop making any purchases for a full 24 hours on February 28.

The national economic blackout is scheduled as a way for Americans to boycott major retailers that have pulled back on diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) policies as a response to President Donald Trump. More

  1. Thoughts.

    ◦ The dems are doing this to make President Trump look bad or make people mad at him. Or something.

    ◦ The dems will simply spend tomorrow what they would’ve today. Net spending reduction close to zero.

    ◦ In the unlikely event there are negative effects, everyone will see that it’s the dems fault, not the President’s.

    ◦ The dems are really, really stupid. But we all knew that.

  2. OK at first I saw the title and thought it was an effort against over consumerism, which I am totally on board with. but then I saw their reasoning and now I agree with anon… Phhhttt!

  3. My grocery shopping day is tomorrow morning. The dims are throwing a typical hissy fit trying to get fellow useful idiots to fall for their malarkey. Maybe they should tell their homies to boycott convenience stores instead with rip off prices and junk food etc.

  4. This 1-day boycott will have ZERO effect, and here’s why: Sat is March 1st, which means military pay & my Mil retirement check comes TODAY. I don’t know about welfare or food stamps if they pay out on Friday when the 1st falls on a Sat. So then many people will be shopping today oblivious of any boycott, = ZERO effect on the Big Box guys.

  5. My shopping experience was great at Walmart this morning. It has more to do with being off season now, but I appreciate every democrat who choose today to boycott and leave the store relatively uncrowded, which is unusual for any Friday of the year. So, thanks again dims.

  6. Another virtue signaling crapfest by the left who have no virtues. A protest campaign by a group of leftist fringe won’t even register – absolutely no effect. Besides, the general population of Demwits have no clue they’re not suppose to shop today to support DEI.
