9. In a parking garage in Vancouver a few years ago I saw a sign that had the following:

   1) Don’t leave valuables in your car.

   2) Leave the glove box and any other compartments open, and, if you have a car where the back seats fold down, fold the back seats down so potential criminals can see that you have nothing valuable in those areas so they won’t break in.

   Ah, the sense of security that modern society brings you.
