Boxer said she feared for her life in Nevada when Bernie Sanders supporters booed her off-stage during a speech.
A picture (and now a video) allegedly showed her giving the finger to the hecklers. Snopes says it’s an extended index finger.
If that’s the case (and I don’t believe it is, I think she’s giving the finger) this means it’s Boxer doing the taunting at the people who put her life in jeopardy.
In the video she sarcastically blows kisses at the angry crowd and then aggressively extends her, according to Snopes, index finger. If it’s an index finger the still photo looks like she’s saying, “c’mon, c’mon, you wanna piece of me?”
That is not something a person in fear for their life does.
So, I have to say Boxer is a liar and Snopes sucks garbage truck juice.

After viewing the video and still pictures, I’m afraid Snopes is exactly right about the index finger. Also, in the interview Boxer stated that she “feared for her safety”. Now that’s pretty darn close to saying she feared for her life, but it’s not precisely those words, so again they are correct.
I realize this isn’t going to be a popular opinion here, but sometimes the truth isn’t popular.
P.S. – Maybe in her fear and confusion, Boxer extended the wrong digit by mistake. Ya think?

If Trump picks a strong VP and starts to name a decent cabinet he may start turning around the republican voters that are talking about staying away. If Sanders kept his support he would finally stub out the Clintons and force Hillary into a concession speech to Trump. I’d bet she’d get about halfway through when she blows a headpipe and starts to scream what she really thinks only to be dragged offstage while the networks undergo some “technical difficulties”. @BFH: Admittedly, the video was hard to see. However, the still picture you posted here is primarily what convinced me that the index finger was the one involved. In any event, like you say, what really matters is whether or not Boxer told the truth about being in fear. Blowing kisses is not the action of a fearful person who does not want to provoke his or her enemies. So yeah, she probably was more angry than anything else.
P.S. – My original comment was not intended to nitpick the details of this incident, but rather to point out that Snopes appeared to be correct. I know that it is currently popular among some Conservatives to suspect that Snopes is a George Soros-funded institution designed to further the cause of socialism and liberalism, but I do not (at least not yet) subscribe to that belief. My experience with them over the years is that they have been an invaluable source for debunking Internet rumors, and I have not seen any credible evidence that they are anything but impartial. Like I said before, this is not a particularly popular viewpoint with some people, but it’s what I believe to be true. And if I can’t be honest with you guys here, then where can I be?

I looked at the video several times. Could not see the point the still came from. It ended so abruptly at that point that it whispers ‘convenient editing’. With the horizontal motion and pointing – not a swing up -, it looks like an index finger touching her upper chest and pointing at someone. Some kind of “I-something-you” motion. “I hate you, too”?

Watching the video, I didn’t watch Boxer’s finger so much as the motion of her “wrist-flick” that is indicative of one “throwing the bird” with a whip like motion. I have seldom seen anyone extend their forefinger in such a manner, but many times I have seen it used as a visual means to emphasize the gesture of disrespect.
