They are paid pretty good, and have good healthcare and pensions. I could take the verbal abuse, I just don’t want to be shot and have my life end at the hands of some flotsam.

  11. The mental health of most black Americans is abysmal. Video is proof. He was projecting exactly what he thinks of himself. Also, the idiot is jealous of the officer, as well as hating authority. Pathetic.
    There is not enough money on Earth, that would motivated me to become a police officer. Glad there are others willing to put up with the abuse and threats.

He must have posted this video himself (the black fellow) and it will come back to haunt him when his sentencing hearing or parole board meets to decide how much time he’s going to spend in prison or whether he gets out and this video is played.   18. @Loco – Old enough here as well and I would imagine your parents maybe taught you differently from the POS in the vid? Plain ole RESPECT correct when pulled over. POS in vid never had a father to tell him otherwise, probably.

    That officer is trained to take that kind of verbal abuse when confronted. As far as he is concerned, why escalate the situation?? His, the officer’s, opinion does not matter. He was highly professional.

    His highest level of aggravation was when he said, “so sign it!” Guess what? ASS hole signed it.

    Just because you and I KNOW how to conduct ourselves in a vehicular stop, does not mean enough perps do.

    That officer cannot wait til that court date…

  19. Ghost, no, I do not believe the officer is “trained” to take that kind of abuse.
    That is a recent thing.
    Just a couple of years ago, that kind of attitude would GUARANTEE a trip downtown.
    In fact, many cops will still haul your ass down.

    I find it funny that you are giving this guy a pass.
    Kind of similar to the soft bigotry of low expectations.

    Yes, tactics and society has indeed changed.

    IF he was not trained for that verbal abuse then he would have given an @ Poor Lazlo a Hickory Shampoo, but because he does have MODERN police training he needs to use MIND and sometimes ‘Billy’ club. I have one just inside my front door.

    As far as I could tell from that vid that officer was riding SOLO and when that is the case, his / her level of judge, jury and yes executioneer is on HIGH level. DID he know whether or not POS had a weapon? An ILLEGAL one?

    I am in NO way giving this POS a pass.

    I am from the Bronx been there, seen it, GOT jumped by a similar looking POS way back in the day, and fought back btw.

  22. I agree that the officer reacted in proper fashion.
    I’m certain he wanted to bash his skull in, but held back.
    Maybe that is a positive thing?

    I do believe that the POS will get his just desserts.
    I honestly hope he gets his ass shot.
    Rational people will view this video and side with the cop.

    The action of the police officer, IN THAT situation, also does have to do with the simple fact of AGE…. and retirement.

    When you are 25, on the job, you have a certain impulsive reaction. God bless that YOUNG officer, he used early WISDOM…restraint…and yes training.

    When you are 55, on the job, you have a life based reaction ‘old world’ training… trying to figure out how to bug out, safely and without a blemish to your record. Get that full pension.

    FULLY UNDERSTANDABLE. THEY stick their necks out as a LAST line of defense for us and being on the LINE for each other.

    WE are the First Line of Defense.

    Sadly, statistically black Americans are less likely to seek help for mental illness. Clearly, the perp on the video is displaying abnormal, psychotic behavior that’s so prevalent now, it doesn’t seem unusual. Typically, people who don’t get treatment for mental illness, self-medicate with drugs – legal & illegal, alcohol, sexual deviancy and criminal activity. Need proof?, who has the largest number of incarcerations based on their population – blacks. For so many, especially black Americans, prison is the new “crazy house”, “snake pit”, “looney ward”.
