If youβve ever driven into Bonney Lake on State Route 410, youβve probably noticed the bronze statue of a little boy lifting his arms to a flock of flying birds, and the signs welcoming you to the city.
Now, itβs gone, taken by thieves who could never understand what it means to the community.
Under the cover of darkness, sometime between August 24th and 25th, Bonney Lake Police say somebody made their way through the brush behind the signs, climbed a 10-foot-tall pedestal of stones, cut the bolts off the statue by nationally acclaimed artist Larry Anderson and hauled it away. More
Meth heads.
My brother worked at a McDonald’s in a nearby town when he was in high school, and in the outdoor play area was a life-sized statue of Ronald McDonald, which was secured to the deck with a single bolt going through the top of one of his shoes. One day as he was going in to work, he realized that something looked off about the play area, and saw that someone had amputated Ronald’s foot at the ankle (probably with a hacksaw) and then made off with the rest of the statue. They never did get it back, and somewhere out there, someone has a Ronald McDonald statue that looks like he barely survived an alligator attack.
The thieves ought to be cut up and sold for scrap.
There are WAY too many NON-Christians on this planet.
So so many people simply need killing…
3D print a copy and plate it with bronze. I live in Tejas where much of the beautiful granite of the State Capitol is really just painted iron.
That’s going to be a tough one to fence….

It was stolen as scrap metal. The usual suspects: bums, illegal aliens and the usual low-life habitual criminals Soros DAs have turned loose on the streets.
Hire an illegal to stand there in its place. It would cost way less than replacing the original.
