A group known as the Hymn Society has released a collection titled Songs for the Holy Other: Hymns Affirming the LGBTQIA2S+ Community for liturgical use in the United States and Canada.
Among the nearly 50 “queer hymns” featured in the collection are: “God of Queer Transgressive Spaces,” “Lovely, Needy People,” “Quirky Queer and Wonderful” and “The Kingdom of God is the Queerest of Nations.”
The ecumenical, non-profit Hymn Society released the hymnal in July but it was publicized just last week by Anglican Journal, the publication of the Anglican Church of Canada, which praised the work for offering “further potential for music as a source of affirmation and inclusion.” More
Are the hymns suitable for singing while your “Lovely, Needy People” are being thrown off a building or getting stoned to death by members of a not-so-inclusive religion?
I had a name for a hymn for them but I don’t want to be hit by lightning. But I probably will be since I already thought of it.

“Holy” Other? “Wholly” or even “Holey” would be more apt.
When they add P to the acronym, they can sell hymns to the Roman Catholic Church
I can’t listen and won’t listen to such blasphemous crap. If I ever walked into any church and they sang these songs I would probably blow a gasket and scream at them at the top of my lungs that they’re a bunch of ungodly morons and deserve to be destroyed for thinking that these songs might please their small g gods. And I would probably swear a lot as well and get kicked out for disrupting their ungodly worship.
Or as Dave Chappelle refers to them as the Alphabet people!
Future generations will thank us if we successfully eliminate heterosexuality.

If asked about the Homo Hymnal, I shall plumb my depths and struggle to construct a seemingly innocuous comment with sarcasm so subtle and devious that at first they will think me daft, but decide a week later that I am indeed, a bastard
If they sparked that crap up at my church, I’d walk out.
Mocking God is not a wise career choice. VERY limited short term benefits, but an eternal penalty.

I thought hymns were for worshiping a Holy God, not for praising ourselves. The self-worship has really gotten out of hand.
