BPR: A left-wing Virginia district attorney is drawing criticism after she sent a memo to judges advising them that her office is “inundated” and that certain crimes will no longer be prosecuted, yet another example of the coddling of criminals by officials who have drawn the support of billionaire meddler George Soros.
In the December 30, 2022 memo, Loudoun County Commonwealth Attorney Buta Biberaj informed the judges that in order to focus on more serious felonies and violent crime that her office would punt the ball on lesser misdemeanor offenses including trespassing, public drunkenness, possession of certain drugs, petty larceny and traffic violations such as reckless driving and hit and run with property damage.
“As you may know, with the increase in the trials in Circuit Court and the introduction of body worn camera and related recordings in each case, the OCA is inundated and left with insufficient time to prosecute every infraction and low-level offense that is charged,” wrote Biberaj.“To better serve our community and to ensure that we are providing safety and justice, we need to reallocate our resources towards the more egregious cases that are being charged by law enforcement and threaten the safety of our community. The most appropriate way for us to do so is to redirect our resources towards the crimes of violence and felonious criminal acts.” more
So SHE doesn’t want to be “inundated” with “minor” crimes, so she throws her hands up and stops doing her job. In she is inundated, think what the citizens are putting up with, and now because of her, crime is going to get far, far worse. You get what you vote for.

The DA here in El Chuko is under fire for the exact same thing… plus the fact she’s (of course) yet to bring the Wal Mart shooter, who gunned down 23 people to trial. The shooting took place in August of 2019.
Gosh. It’s almost as if telling criminals that certain crimes won’t be prosecuted results in more of those crimes being committed.
Loudon County used to be a good place to live until it got discovered by DC bureaucrats and turned into a bedroom community for Washington leftists.
Buta Biberaj has been a disaster. Their school board is a complete mess.
The only reason that’s being done is blacks and Brown’s commit most of the crimes, even though they try and act like it’s the whites. To bad the internet shows it differently.
