My older brother had a 1960 red convertible T-bird back in the day. It had the 352 V8. I was about 14 years old when he took me for a ride. We got up to 140 mph.

Yeah, no mistaking the T-Bird. I loved the colors offered, too.

My buddy has a 58. He calls it elvira.

This was a 58.

Is Florida full of old cars? Never thought about it, but if the climates like California, there should be. No road salt, right?

Hijack alert!
You like you cars and especially perhaps tinkering with them like you did in the sixties?
Read this one and become disgusted and asking yourself, CAN THIS BE TRUE?

19555 through 1957 two wearers. No, they weren’t a real sports car, but the early corvettes started with an in line six and two speed power glide.
They could have gone performance sports car but stretched then into land cruisers.

Ah. That explains all the new, new cars. Just figured if they had the cake to buy all those imports, some of them would spring for a classic. No point if the air eats em’.
Arizona preserves metal. HOWEVER. The dry air eats everything made out of rubber. Replacing rubber is about as expensive as replacing metal body panels.
Which is why we have as many old cars sitting as yard art as are on the road.

“man identifying as a woman breaking the four-minute mile”
Stick shifts shouldn’t be allowed in the competition. Should be only superglides running the female 4 min.

Not a 58’but it’s literally the first thing that popped up on craigslist for “Thunderbird”
Holy crap, Anymouse. That article deserves a post here!

I find most of the cars from the 50’s pretty sexy….Maybe because that’s where I was conceived….chrome bumpers, big fins, ample tail lights, back seats for days…..

Unique photographs capture the imagination, especially when they bring back pleasant memories of past events. Usually photos like that wind up in photo albums and scrap books. Or sometimes can be found on special websites like this one. So how could a group photograph of living children, allegedly dead and buried years before, be being shown on any website at all? Were they really dead then, or was it all a hoax for the gun seizing agenda? (Sandy Hook) http://82.221.129.208/.wo2.html
No trauma event can be believed to be real any more. Because–lies!
first car was a 1960 Ford Falcon 2 door station wagon, with the ‘Roy Rodgers’ vinyl interior. Straight 6 and 3 speed on the column. It had been used by the Air Force on a runway and had big ‘x’s painted all over it, especially the roof. Painted it with Rustoleum and a foam woodwork roller and drove the daylights out of it. It’s name wound up being ‘Mother Maybelle, Flower of the East, prairie Schooner and Cosmic Traveler.’ We got around with that thing.
When was America great? It still is, but having grown up in the 1950’s, I got to see how Chevrolet could turn out the 56,57,58 and 59 versions of their cars. All that engineering, tooling and production with such big differences each year. America is pretty great right now, but we have certainly had our haydays in the past

Willy goat your dad must have been quite a guy.
“back seat for days” I like backseats too.
Too funny.

That ride is fly – but nothing tops my new ruby red ’76 Stingray. Just need a MAGA front plate for this bicentennial beauty.

Not a classic car but a very classic image is on the loose, which shouldn’t be lost.
The photo is bouncing around the internet while someone with a web net is trying to catch it in flight.
“I therefore want to post up the following picture that shows what apparently are the female “victims” of that fake shooting at Sandy Hook from 2012 gathered together for a photo “op” recently and which shows definitely that they are all very much alive and well… Here is that image:
“I must state that I questioned Sandy Hook from the very beginning and within a few days called this one a massive fraud and a fake shooting…. I have stood my ground for years now, and with this new image coming forward, I and others are once again vindicated……… “

Ha! My first car was a ’53 Red Chevy station wagon….sold it for $100.00.
Honestly, any old classic on the road is cool. My roommate had a 60 bird andI gotta say in all sincerity that those are one of the ugliest cars ever.
BTw, did you know Ramblers had fold down front seats? Better than any backseat, even in old buicks.
Last local car show we attended had some beautiful entries, most of which were ruined because they had ghetto wheels and low profile tires. Have you people no class?
Nobody , I mean nobody, rode around with the convertible top down and the windows up ! NERD !
