The State Department could approve the permit to build the Keystone XL pipeline as soon as Monday, according to the company building the project.
TransCanada re-submitted its permit application with the State Department on Jan. 26 to build the segment of the nearly 1,200-mile crude oil pipeline that crosses the border from Canada. A company spokesman said they anticipate approval as the end of President Trump’s deadline for approving the project draws to a close early next week or sooner.
