This animation of a race between two souped up steam engines might be just the thing to help forget the steaming hot days of July. Watch

  1. That was a great animated video. I can’t even begin to imagine how much talent and creativity went into its production, but it had to be a lot.

Steampunk is an interesting genre, to say the least.

  3. Don’t know that I would travel and pay to see a steam engine race, but I would go halfway across the country and pay top dollar to see a real live staged cornfield meet in person.

  4. That looks similar to a video I saw in Las Vegas years ago of a coal car in a mine going down the wrong track. The seats were on in a structure that moved along with the movement so you felt like you were actually riding in the car.

  5. Real steam trains used to race all the time to see who could get passengers from point a to point b the quickest. Say Chicago to New York or New York to Wash D.C. Who wouldn’t want to ride behind a 400 ton locomotive going 90 miles an hour? BTW a cup of water flashed into steam has the equivalent energy of a stick of dynamite! And a large boiler could hold 4k GALLONS or if it blew up ONE MILLION HP in a matter of seconds.
