Breitbart: Stockton University has dropped all charges against a graduate student facing disciplinary action for making his Zoom background a photo of President Donald Trump and for a subsequent political Facebook post defending his freedom of expression.
On Tuesday, administrators at Stockton University dropped the final charge pending against Robert Dailyda, a student investigated for a political post on Facebook and a Zoom background image of President Trump, according to a statement by the Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE).
According to the school, Dailyda’s background photo on Zoom caused students “to feel offended, disrespected, and taunted.”
FIRE. an organization that advocates for First Amendment rights in education. wrote to the school outlining Stockton’s obligation as a publicly-funded institution to respect its students’ free speech rights.
On August 10, the university dropped five of the six charges against the student, but one charge remained, until Tuesday. MORE HERE
The story doesn’t say whether the university apologized to the student and issued a statement on how they would ensure that this type of witch hunt will not happen again and submit the entire faculty and other staff to a mandatory seminar on free speech. I hope he still sues for pain and suffering.
I still say the university should be de-subsidized or de-funded…..or whatever.
“Higher education” is still a scam in my opinion designed to indoctrinate our most valuable resource to become compliant little socialist slaves dependent on the STATE.
We need to break the cycle of learned ignorance.
Dude: sue anyway. The damage was done.
sue the commie d-suckers
I don’t see the problem with just letting the young man do his thing. After all they have safe spaces and counseling for the spineless students who were tramuatized.
Stockton is a joke of a college. It’s located in farleft New Joizy so I’m not surprised they tried to pull this fascist crap
The sad thing is the brainwashing Kamp is named after Richard Stockton, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence
