Police officers in Lethbridge, Alta., are being investigated after at least one pulled a gun on a woman who was dressed in a stormtrooper costume and carrying what turned out to be a fake firearm as part of a Star Wars-themed business promotion.
It started when police responded to two 911 calls reporting someone in a stormtrooper outfit was carrying a firearm along the 500 block of 13 Street North, the Lethbridge Police Service said in a release issued Tuesday.
The woman in the costume was actually trying to promote a restaurant on May 4, or “May the Fourth” — a day Star Wars fans celebrate as Star Wars Day. It’s a pun on the iconic line in the movies: “May the force be with you.” More

The reason why she was arrested is because she is employed and can therefore have money extracted from her.
Cops are not our friends. They are the handmaidens of the oppressor. We are now witnessing countless examples of this.

“You would feel differently if you needed a cop.” I have needed a cop. My daughter needed a cop. When they arrived, they still weren’t there.

When my son was 9 or 10 I told him, “Never call the cops no matter what. They are looking for someone to arrest and it is just as likely to be you as the criminal.” Today he is a county sheriff and I reminded him of that. He remembered and said, “Pop, you were right.”
