1. Great collection today.

2. My cat Finn’s favorite toy is the laser pointer. He loves the darned thing and goes crazy chasing it when we bring it out. And he knows where we keep it because he’ll sit around the bowl where it’s kept just waiting for us to bring it out. The only thing that spoils his fun is when my golden retriever Indie starts chasing him because she wants to know what’s going on with the crazy cat.

4. A pet mallard? Can you potty-train them?
   During migration you can find mallards in the silliest places: swimming in kiddie pools, drainage ditches, road puddles…

14. This is my second trip through – these marvelous critters are a tonic for a dark, cold morning. Praise to the caption-writers as well as the photographers.

    Favorites are a tie between the gopher and the squirrel.

18. The otter tops my list.

    He’s this | | close to getting the prize and he knows it.

    The black cat looks like he’s holding some ham or turkey skin, to me. I thought pizza at first too, but it doesn’t quite match up. Notice the uniformly light colored meat on the bottom side. Regardless, he’s got his. Now if he can only escape the grip of his tormentors to enjoy it in peace.

    And NO kitties!
