  8. @ ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ – glad my grand parents a century ago decided to stay! My own parents idea of possibly leaving the Bronx was going to Staten Island! We ended up staying and living in a place called Co-op City. A socialist kind of place, BUT I met the Mrs Ghost there in HS and all the friends I have to this day there who think like IOTWers. Can you believe it? In all that density.

    I watched the vid and it was well done, btw the Bronx has the least amount of cases in NYC. Yes, even Staten Island…

  9. I ran into my next door neighbors on Friday. They live several acres away. We exchanged pleasantries from a distance. I suspect we’ll cross paths soon. Probably June or July. Suits me just fine.

    They are a lovely couple.

    OK. He’s a librarian by profession and suitably weird.

  10. I give New York about a week until the civil unrest starts.
    Riots in the big apple might persuade me to watch the news.
    Of course i’ll have the sound muted because they’ll say Trump is responsible.

    The democrats shut this country down and it is only fitting that their cities are the casualties of this nonsense.

  11. I have never been to NYC and never want to visit there. I’ve been to the East Coast twice, once in 92 to participate in the Natl. Day Of Prayer in Wash. DC and again in Sept 2013 when my daughter was married in Virginia Beach. I am too set in my ways and far too laid back out here in the boonies of the great Pac. NW to want to live elsewhere.

    Shanghai has 34 million.
    Wuhan has 20 million and is number 6 on the list.
    Do you really believe they have the Wuhan virus under control?

  18. (some of) you people, yeah I said it, have the wrong idea about NYC. Not everyone is a screw up. Screw ups are everywhere, in your state, in your county, in your town.

    Were the people that showed up to watch the amazing scene of a Comfort ship coming to help, irresponsible for ‘showing up’ at the shore line to greet it?? No, they are desperate for something, a message, and they, we got it.

    Get a grip and stop the hate on all assholes. Stay the fuck away from NY if that is the case. IF you are so afraid of us.

    Don’t set foot in my state and I won’t step in your INFECTED state.

  23. Oh, G’lord , don’t let them come here. The city is what you want, all its culture and whatnot! Don’t come to cowshit country, it’s awful! Nothing but cowshit and Saturday fights behind the grange. Stay away, stay away for God’s sake stay away!
