Syria Shoots Down Russian Spy Plane, Israel Blamed

In a friendly fire incident overnight, a Russian reconnaissance aircraft returning from a mission out over the Mediterranean was struck by a Syrian anti-aircraft missile. There were no survivors. The parties involved are blaming Israel. It seems the Israelis had been bombing Hezbollah targets when the four fighter bombers purposefully put the Russian aircraft between themselves and the Syrian missile launcher. More

    You have to remember to ask yourself “what is beyond my target?”. The Russian’s will shake it off- these type of things are going to happen when you give special needs kids buttons that can launch missiles.

  2. It wasn’t a Syrian missile, it was a Russian missile operated by Syrian arabs (always a chancy proposition). Kind of makes you wonder about Russian IFF aboard it’s aircraft and missiles if this one missed the Israeli’s (Hmmmm) then proceeded to hammer an aircraft it should have known to avoid. Bet the Israeli’s and the US are reviewing the tapes and the Syrian missile crew are saying the last to their families.
