Tax Payer Relief Shot Delivered After Officer Has Gun Put To Her Head

I’m not going to judge the officer for the high-pitched screaming. It’s probably what I would have sounded like. But, then again, I haven’t had training. Has she? Being a LEO isn’t for everybody, obviously.

Thank God back-up arrived in time to ventilate this worthless POS.

He beat and stabbed an 88 year-old man 3 days before.

Screams for help from an Illinois police officer were captured on dramatic video as she struggled with a man wanted for murder in Pennsylvania.

The Lake County State’s Attorney released both dashcam and bodycam video Monday night from a shooting in July 2018 that involved a man wanted in Pennsylvania.

The officer fought for survival after the fugitive pulled a gun, so quickly there was barely time to react.

The life-or-death struggle in the predawn darkness happened on July 26 on a quiet gravel path.

In the video, Lakemoor Officer Brianna Tedesco approaches an SUV with out-of-state plates. The driver tells the officer that his name is James Dunkin.

“I just have to make sure you don’t have any warrants or anything, which I’m sure you don’t,” she tells him in the video.

But James Dunkin is in fact Kenneth Martell of Springboro, Pa. Tedesco writes down his plate number.

“They’re not finding a DL, a driver’s license record, for a James Dunkin. Do you have anything in the vehicle with your name on it?” she asks him.

Perhaps sensing he’s been caught, Martell pulls his weapon on the officer. The struggle over the weapon lasts an agonizing 20 seconds. Martell also attempts to grab a second gun.

As Tedesco’s backup arrives, an officer shoots Martell. He died at the scene.

  1. Screaming or not…that’s one tough broad!

Without hesitation she grabbed that sh1theels weapon and prevented him from killing her.

Nice shot by the arriving officer as well.

  3. “I’m not going to judge the officer for the high-pitched screaming.” But then you went on and did. Women have different vocal cords than men, and you could hear that she had a naturally high pitched voice as she spoke to the suspect. She was a good officer who did a good job.

  4. She seems like a very good officer – professsioal, alert, conscientious, compassionate. I commend her for her bravery.

Yet, there is a caviat. By nature women are not physically equal to men and since law enforcement is such a physically tasking job, most of the time, female officers will be overpowered by male perps. Females just don’t have the upper body strength, bone structure or endurance men have needed to fight off a male, especially the crazy ones. Sure there are exceptions, but not in most cases.

Also based on her very feminine emotional response (not a bad thing), it shows women have a different level of tolerance for incidents involving fear and risk. For example, you could count on one hand, women who race cars, bullride (OK, no puns please), skateboard. It’s just reality.

  5. Her screams alerted her partner.
They were crucial to her survival.
I just think she should’ve been much more prepared, less trusting, all along.
    Good results though.

  6. If she had no backup, her kids would be motherless today. That guy would have definitely shot and killed her. The fear in her voice was real. She was begging for her life.

Sorry for being blunt, but she was losing the arm wrestling thing and he wasn’t even out of the car. All he had to do was grab her uniform good and hard, reach for his second weapon (or use the first) and that would have been that.

This wasn’t a typical traffic stop. Isolated area, off hours. I know my senses would be on high alert and I wouldn’t have taken my eyes off his body movements.
