Taxpayers Foot $342,225.85 for Sexual Harassment, Discrimination Settlements Between 2008 and 2012

WE WANT THE NAMES.

Breitbart: The Committee on House Administration has released data from the Office of Compliance (OOC) showing it paid $342,225.85 in taxpayer funds on settlements and awards for sexual harassment and discrimination charges leveled against House members between fiscal year 2008 and fiscal year 2012.

OCC announced the detailed information on Tuesday following widespread outrage that taxpayers, not lawmakers, were paying for settlements and awards, and that details about the nature of the charges and the fiscal totals paid out were not for public consumption.

The release is “part of the Committee on House Administration’s extensive review of sexual harassment and discrimination in the congressional workplace,” according to the announcement, which said the data was given to Rep. Gregg Harper (R-MI), chairman of the committee.

The announcement said, in part, “The OOC provided the committee with additional statistics of settlements and awards paid by type of claims as a result of cases originating with an employing office in the House of Representatives from FY2008 – FY2012.”  more here

  1. No.
    We don’t need names.
We need to make the perverts pay out of their own pockets.

I realize that their incomes are extorted from the taxpayers, in the first instance, but we could make them take it out of the $ Millions they’re stealing!

Oh, wait … they’re stealing that from us, too …

    izlamo delenda est …

  2. This, from the “Congressional Accountability Act” of 1995! They’re certainly not accountable if they’re not paying for their own actions.

(I thought the payout was much bigger.)

  3. The whole thing is a scam. It works for the entire Legislative Branch, not just elected maggots. A bunch of negroes on the Senate side sued because they hadn’t been promoted to WG-10 (Mechanic) positions. They were promoted and paid damages. They later sued because when asked to perform the jobs they were then paid to do, they claimed they didn’t have the knowledge or skills to do them. They won, again, and were, again, paid damages. So averse to charges of “ray-cysm” they are. White people who have grievances are pretty much told to fuck off – except the hens, of course – there’s a constant battle over victim-hood and swag – though the evil-doer is always – ALWAYS – the “white patriarchal society” – which turns out to be the taxpayer.

It’s a vast pool of taxpayer money that can be stolen, or more precisely, extorted, by the lawyers in the know.

    izlamo delenda est …

  4. You don’t need to know the names.
All you need to know is there is one party who is against tax cuts.
It’s the same party that wants higher taxes so their lawlessness can continue unabated.
Don’t think for a moment they wouldn’t take 100% of everything.
The more they take, the more they get away with it.

  5. For all the talk from both parties about transparency in government there sure seems to be precious little of it. How about the President write an executive order that:

Has all lawsuit payments generated from suits lodged against all three branches of government be made public in the form of a website accessible to all. In each one will be the nature of the complaint, the name of the plaintiff and defendant along with the settlement awarded and the reason for an out of court settlement. If one has to be sealed or redacted then that can only be authorized by a Federal Circuit Court Judge (probably the head of that circuit court) and his/her reasons for sealing it be put on the website along with the charge and the amount of the award.
This might work but it would earn the President the gratitude of most of the voters and the enmity of Congress and the Senate (maybe the other two but I suspect there isn’t too much of this crap going on there) but I think Trump generally only cares about what’s best for the people.

  6. Congress critters should pay for their bad behavior, but they should also be able to counter-sue the crap out of false claimants, otherwise conservative politicians would have false accusations leveled at them in order to drive them into bankruptcy and out of office.
