The Star Tribune is not naming the teacher because she has not been charged with a crime. The district has declined to provide additional information, citing limitations under the Minnesota Data Practices Act.

When I’m with my kids and we see someone who is a self-mutilator or weird hair coloring I have a discussion about all humans craving attention and that there is a huge difference between doing things that are weird, cheap, crass or tawdry to get attention and doing something that is of value and doing it well enough to get attention.
