I remember telling the Abbott: They get meaner than rat shit. He said he knows, but it’s Christian to turn the other cheek. I said that’s not really my style, but they had it coming and just damn lucky I didn’t respond in kind. I had a reputation as a tough guy and a mean little fucker when I was younger and actually enjoyed a good fight. He told me that a number of them were suicidal and he would sincerely appreciate it if we could see our way clear to not sending the Crisis Center any more work.
One of my fellow rescuers took a picture of me with that very graphic death poster of an aborted baby standing in front of the US Grant Hotel. It’s in my picture collection that I’m saving for posterity to let my grandchildren know who their grandfather was and what I stood for. It’s not a pretty picture but it does horribly show the evils of what abortion does to an innocent unborn child. It’s a great witness against abortion.

That is the dynamic we recognized and exploited. I have given it a lot of thought and I’d put the ones so affected represent about 30-40% to maybe half of them. The other half just straight up wicked and evil. What was instructive and productive is the ones with a conscience found out just how quickly their former comrades would turn on them, The very instant they were not all in for allowing themselves to be exploited or expressed any reservation whatsoever they were dumped like a hot potato.
