EAG: DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A freshly trained substitute teacher in Volusia County schools was banned after she reportedly told students she’d let a gunman in the building to “shoot them in between the eyes.”
Linda Baker, 61, was assigned to cover a third-grade classroom at Turie T. Small Elementary School in Daytona Beach last Thursday for her first working in the district after undergoing substitute teacher training last month, the Orlando Sentinel reports.
About 20 students were in class and apparently misbehaving when Baker allegedly concocted a story about a gunman with an AK-47 to get their attention. more
“Freshly trained”? Sounds more like “poorly trained”.
and this was only her first day
day two was to be a threat to show them her boobs
And I thought my third grade teacher was mean. Wow.

From what I gather the substitute is white, but I can’t confirm it.
I can almost see why she’d say something similar, just a real bad choice on her part, if you’re a parent with screaming kids (2,3, or 4), just imagine a classroom filled with 15 of them all yelling, and they may have been getting ready to twerk.
THAT ought to get the little bastards to behave.
She’s sounds the elementary-school version of “Bad Santa.”
American kids are such pansy asses.
In ISIS schools, the kids get crucified and disemboweled for not yelling “Allah Akbar” loud enough during beheading training.
Shoulda told them about Brer Bear and Brer Rabbit or the story of Sambo and the Tiger. Oh, can’t do that last one, Sambo was intelligent and outsmarted Tiger, and Jesse just won’t tolerate that.
Soooo … where are they SUPPOSED to be shot?
“Substitute teachers in the district are required to have a high school diploma, three days of training and a clear background check, according to the news site.”
Well, at least they have high standards for substitute teachers.
It’s just as well they got rid of her. Any decent teacher would have known that the proper phrasing of the threat would been “…shoot them between the eyes”. The “in” was totally unnecessary.
😛
My friend lived in Volusia county. When he moved his family to a NE state, his kid had to be put in a special class because he was 2 years behind his peers. He was an A /B student in Volusia.
That stunned me when I read it too.
My kids had a teacher like this in the early 2000’s before cell phone videos were everywhere.
She told one of their classes she hoped they all the chance to have someone hold a gun to their heads.
She told another that every time they had a party with boys and girls the girls all got raped.
Do you know what they did with her?
Promoted her to Assistant Principal.
One of my kids graduated high school with a B+ in Algebra 2 but couldn’t pass the Algebra 1 test in the local community college.
Yup. Remedial classes we had to pay for.
