Former QB urged to run for open seat in Florida.
WT: The sudden retirement announcement of veteran GOP Rep. Ander Crenshaw has ignited speculation about a potential high-profile successor: former University of Florida quarterback Tim Tebow.
The district now represented by the 71-year-old Mr. Crenshaw includes the Jacksonville area, where Mr. Tebow maintains a residence, a business — XV Enterprises, a sports-consulting firm — and the Tim Tebow Foundation.
Just two weeks ago, Mr. Tebow, 28, said in an interview during his foundation’s annual golf tournament he found the idea of entering politics “intriguing.” MORE
Screw that,
Tebow for President 2016!
He can run….but that’s all he can do…..wait?…Congress or quarterback?…yeah, all he can do is run…
And what can YOU do?
I can dance a little, weld a little….sometimes I can even sing a little….doo bop she bop de doo…
Loco, likely a bit late, but I would take a guy like him against any in the field currently in play.
Loco – he’s not qualified to be president!
😉 – actually, in his case this is true, he hasn’t turned 35.
Good point LCD.
I was thinking he likely doesn’t have the make-up to deal with Isis.
Then I thought about it.
He would let the Generals be Generals and do their job.
Still, we can fantasize about what it would be like to have a handsome, hetero, conservative, christian, alpha-male for women to swoon over as a candidate.
Hell, that is half the battle.
LBS – I told ya more than once I’m not a candidate no matter how much you wish it, but thanks for the compliment.
Why not? Bill Bradley was a man a good character, a famous athlete, in his time, and he became a senator. He’s had enough public criticism and attempted humiliation already, so he’ll be used to it.
I’d hate to see Tebow get corrupted in DC at this young age. Maybe after a few more years experience to see how good politicians are at backstabbing and selfishness, a good, strong, principled guy like him could make a difference in government. He may actually be too good of a person to ever be an effective politician though.
OK, Tebow joins the Redskins, pilots them to consecutive Superbowls.
He wins Superbowl 51, 52, 53, 54, 55, 56 then retires from football, runs in 2024, chooses Bill Belichick as his ‘Dick Cheney’ VP.
Boom!
T’Bow-Preezy 46
I would buy that jersey.
Tim Tebow is 28 years old, greek like god, women swoon, wealthy man and he claims to yet be a virgin?….C’mon boys, ya’ll be fools….he’s a ruse, a charlatan…it’s gonna come out if he runs for politics….and he still can’t throw the football for NFL standards….
Ask Big Ben of the Steelers whom Tebow sent home in the playoffs a few years ago if Tebow can throw.
Tebow deserves better
I just might have to move to Florida just to be able to vote for him!
25 is the minimum age for a representative. He certainly wouldn’t be any worse than Boehner or a lot of the others currently ripping Americans off.
