Let’s see….which button do I push……BANG!!!
Wrong button….
Yeah, about what I expected. I know, I’m racist.
“I didn’t know it was loaded.”
19 year old leaves behind 2 daughter.
Whatever fool.
Freaken guns just kill for no reason at all.
Darwinism in practice.
Another trigger.
Guns dont just go off.
OH MY GOD!…he thought he was a cop….
I think it was Brad who said to keep your finger off the trigger.
Until you want to shoot.
Musta been a white, racist gun that pulled its own trigger. Hell maybe it was the trigger that was racist?
From the article: “The victim’s family said he leaves behind two young daughters and that he was a fun-loving person.”
19 years old and already a father times two! I guess he was “fun-loving”! Idiot!!
19 year old father of two ( no wife mentioned ) that’s what my police friends would call job security
That gun was made by racists.
He learned from the best, Uncle Arnie:

Well? It did cost a guy his life…the least we could do is post the photo! ;D
It’s the HOTTEST TREND, ghetto kiddies!
Try it yourself!
Be the first/last on your block!
Yup, this guy’s a Darwin Award finalist for sure.
Common Core math: “If DeShawn has fathered two children by the age of nineteen, how many will he have by the time he is thirty?”
How do you accidentally shoot yourself in the head? If you put a gun to your head it’s not an accident, it’s just plain stupidity. I guess idiots playing Russian Roulette must not think about the consequences of their stupidity, like killing themselves. But it makes a great final selfie. What a maroon!
Guns don’t kill people, the stupid idiot thinking the gun is a toy killed himself, the gun was just an instrument or plaything of his demise. One less idiot in the gene pool. Didn’t anyone ever tell this knucklehead that guns are not toys? And putting a gun to your head is stupid whether it’s loaded or unloaded
This gun is one heck of a camera. Watch.
ha ha playin russian roulette with a semi-auto.
I bet he dropped the mag out or checked it and thought it was empty but forgot that pistols are perfectly happy to store one in the chamber indefinitely – and nearly all can fire that round even if there is no mag.
ALL guns are loaded, and it’s best practice to do a “press check” whenever you pick one up.
I’m sorry everyone. But I think this is funny. When people become this stupid, they start weeding themselves out. A true Darwin Award recipient.
I’m no expert, but I’ve always heard that you’re sposed to make sure the gun’s empty before you stick it against yer head.
He’s in Heaven right now.
Being issued his sign: ‘Shot myself taking a Selfie’
And being shown his place to stand in line,
In between: ‘Ran with scissors’ and “Shot myself with my own bow and arrow’
Weapon Knowledge – 101
Never draw one until you are ready to use it.
Never point one at anything you don’t want to shoot.
Keep your damn booger picker off the bang button.
Federal law prohibits any person under 21 to possess a handgun unsupervised.
How’s that working out?
Did not know that. You have the law handy so I can check that out?
“And by how many different baby mommas? And how many freeloading off taxpayer-pocket-picked welfare?”
“Here’s Yer Sign”
Apparently the answer depends on how many gun selfies DeShawn is going to – um, – “shoot”…
🙂
I guess DeShawn had a problem knowing when other things were loaded, too…
🙂
Dadof4, https://www.nraila.org/articles/20040324/citizen-s-guide-to-federal-firearms-law. I knew it was the law in Illinois but did not know it was a federal law.
Thanks for the link. While not an actual citation of law, it is a bullet point list.
Note that it does NOT say anywhere: “Federal law prohibits any person under 21 to possess a handgun unsupervised.”
There is a contradiction between the preface for Ineligible Persons section stating:
“The following classes of people are ineligible to possess, receive, ship, or transport firearms or ammunition:”
And the actual bullet points having very specific language regarding minors:
– Persons less than 18 years of age for the purchase of a shotgun or rifle.
– Persons less than 21 years of age for the purchase of a firearm that is other than a shotgun or rifle.
Please note that purchase is not the same as possession.
This listing does not support OpenTheDoors statement.
It may still be true in fact so a citation of actual law stating his claim may be out there and I await seeing it, but this list does not back it up.
I suspect his claim comes from living in a state that has that law on the books. Not Federal though.
Never before has anyone ever uttered that around me. We care about not being busted by the Feds. This aint one of them to worry about in Texas.
I’m sure with a little homework I can quickly come up with a half dozen examples of a child grabbing his/her parents hand gun and thwarting a break in at home. With no legal repercussions over using a hand gun unsupervised. Never has that angle been broached here. Sounds like NY, NJ and Illinois
Surprise! Surprise! He was about to start a college education in a few days before he dropped out – permanently.
