The Federalist
In a congressional subcommittee hearing on Wednesday, National Public Radio CEO Katherine Maher admitted the outfit’s blackout of the Hunter Biden laptop story was a mistake, acknowledged that NPR’s alleged 87-to-zero ratio of Democrats to Republicans in editorial positions is a “concern,” and stumbled through a defense of her publicly expressed views like “America is addicted to white supremacy” and calling the First Amendment “the number one challenge” to suppressing information.
As Republican members of Congress pointed out, one of NPR’s most infamous displays of corruption was its refusal to cover the Biden family scandal sourced to Hunter Biden’s laptop in the lead-up to the 2020 election. More
NPR’s Chief Executive did little to convince lawmakers to continue funding NPR during yesterday’s testimony before the House DOGE subcommittee. Here
negro propaganda radio, pimp your causes on your dime, property, & time
Do people even watch tv or listen to radio anymore?
I listen to radio and sometimes would turn to NPR for comedy, and just to see what the alternate universe living was like.
Other than that it is pretty much a huge waste of money.
The best story on NPR ever!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=npxaMe1Bh2o
If you’re a strict constructionist (and you should be), then you really need and have only one reason.

Cate, Squirrel run away. Squirrel 1, cop’s zip. They needed a police dog to chase that squirrel out of the house. Did the squirrel end up as a crispy critter.
I had to spend some time up on the Rez a few years ago – only three radio stations available and they were all running NPR.
No wonder the Injuns all have that axe murderer look in their eyes.
I travel a lot and listen to the radio a lot. For $20 a month, I get Sirius XM radio – just about any game you want to hear, music categorized by genre or decade, several comedy channels, entertainment channels and news stations on the right, left and in the middle. Also, being satellite radio, I don’t need to be continously searching when I leave one broadcast area and enter another.
This is not a commercial for satellite radio, but the point is that a subsidized NPR really isn’t needed anymore. Radio is actually alive and well, and between radio, podcasts, the internet, audio books, etc. I just don’t see the sense in subsidizing this outlet.
I remember tuning into NPR back in the 80s because I had heard about it and thought if my tax dollars are paying for it I should at least listen to it to get my money’s worth. About 1/2 hour in and I had to switch it off. Ugh!
Kill it. It’s just a brainwashing tool.
Don’t stop the b’casting of NPR.
Just remove the Gooberment subsidy funding from our taxpayer dollars.
Let them struggle on with private and corporate donations.
(treat NPR like Planned Parent should be treated – private donations, no public tax money)
I haven’t listened to radio since Rush (the man, not the band).
RIP
It’s quite a racket they worked for NPR. The majority of the money goes to operating stations within each state that operates its own network, but the bulk of the programming comes from the lavish headquarters in D.C. that puts out a lot of the radical garbage that defines NPR. Sure, local stations can produce content, some of which might get picked up and syndicated to the other networks, but the H.Q. still puts out the “news” for the commutes in the morning and evening and set the tone for all the others. Let the system support itself. If states want to fund their networks let them but get the federal government out of it.
I thought NPR was suppoedly stood up to serve places that didn’t have free market radio yet, which, back in the day was quite a few. Now, of course you gotta go to the most uninhabited place on earth to escape most media at all. NPR long ago outlived their purpose, much like NATO. Take the win and GO HOME, roll it up fellas we’re done.
Their bitch CEO is right outta The Hundred and One Dalmatians!
