DMF: Looks like the Tennessee Legislature has suddenly grown a pair, and has struck a blow against PC on behalf of the citizens of the state. First they cut taxes in a big way, then passed a bill that will allow the faculty of the University of Tennessee to carry weapons on campus. Our oldest will be attending UT soon (ish). Looks good to me.
The “Campus Carry” bill is typical half-stepping weak shit; you have to have a carry permit, be on the faculty/staff full time and tell the campus cops. If you’re a commuter student or on campus for a ball game or whatever, you’re SOL.
Also, they killed Constitutional Carry in committee for the sixth year in a row.
*SPIT*
I’m starting to miss Ol’ Jimmy Naifeh…
Another 500K for football shush fund to catch Alabama and Florida!
I love it, Go Gators!
“This bill caused an uproar at UT Knoxville, with thousands of students and professors walking out of class earlier this week.”
AND PROFESSORS?!!?
I assume these so-called “educators” were terminated for breach of contract? Had I (or one of my children) been one of their students, paying good tuition money to attend classes, and saw my class cancelled because the professor would rather attend a protest than provide the service for which I hired him, you can bet his next contact from me would have been through my attorney.
Why are we still putting up with this bullshit?
@crazyeighter – Dang. They screwed it up. But what can you really count on from someone who doesn’t know the difference between bough and bow?
Uncle Al, what makes you think it was an accident?
Love UT, Knoxville and Tennessee; both of my sons graduated from there, ran track and cross-country for them. But this shit is getting to be a little hard to take.
