The new redistricting gave 5 seats to the Republicans and erased Ghettopotamus’ seat. The Senate passed it and they now need the House to pass it. Abbott said they will keep voting until it passes.

I think this was kabuki theater arranged complicitly with the GOP speaker of the TX house. There is only a few days left in the session. It’s entirely possible the democrats will get exactly what they wanted. I think there is some other key bill the GOP reps wanted tanked.

Brad, it’s been redrawn only in the senate. It’s not done until the house joins them. Still unfinished business.
