The Al Has Landed – IOTW Report

The Al Has Landed

When Port St. Lousy was ground zero Uncle Al immediately got in touch so we could bug out to his place on the left side of Florida’s dong.

With 36 hours everything changed.

Now Al is bunkering down with his wife at Casa de Fur.

Here’s my place (Uncle Al seems concerned.)

I think we’ll be okay.

All seems to be as good a scenario for PSL as possible. For now.

Prayers to everyone around Irma’s surrounding area and wake.

  1. Mr. Hat, I LOVE. your house!!

I easpcially like the entry holes for the hunting dogs. Nothing a dog likes better than curling up under the porch.

Oh, Blue, you’re a good dog you.

    Be safe.

  2. Well, Sir Fur, I see you’ve spent a bit of time burying all the power lines…really a sensible thing to do!

Hoping (praying, too!) That you all remain safe in your lovely, most charming abode!?!

  3. 1 God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging.
4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
5 God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.
6 Nations are in uproar, kingdoms fall; he lifts his voice, the earth melts.
7 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
8 Come and see what the LORD has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth.
9 He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire.
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”
11 The LORD Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
    Psalm 46

  5. @Engelburka Engelburka Engelburka Engelburka:

Put him to work!!! If my house guests exceed the 3-day rule, I supply power tools and cleaning supplies while I repose on the verandah.

I got a pardon on that by offering first! BigFurHat et al. are great and generous people.

  6. Many, many thanks to my friends here for their kind words and wishes for luck. I’m quite touched. Or, as the resident of that house would say, “A might tetched.”

So far so good for us here on the Atlantic. Please direct your prayers to those on the Gulf looking at a truly frightening situation.

  7. The whole southern foreskin of FL has been under Tornado Watch since last night. If any develop they tend to form on the north eastern section of the total hurricane, the strongest winds outside of the killer eyewall.

  8. I have a brother and a best friend (not a couple, they don’t know each other) that have decided to ride it out in Tampa St. Pete area. I asked the question “Where is your house compared to sea level?” Nether knew. That might be a handy tid bit of info if you live in a Hurricane Zone. I couldn’t do it. As much as I could easily slide into that life style, it wouldn’t be worth it.

  9. Uncle Al,
“Mr. Ruger is my constant companion these days. And Mr. Browning is always nearby!”

You should make one of those guns safe and put it in Mr. New Yorks hands and run it down to him. Just sayen I’d like to see FUR actually armed.

  10. The wife was wondering, do you use your IOTW names or your real names while your together?
Obviously if your out and about its back to your ‘screen’ names.
I brought up the local weather for your area to watch the wind etc.
    is your power on?

  11. “The wife was wondering, do you use your IOTW names or your real names while y”our together?”

I’m thinking he did that once with that weak sister Menderman. Probably the last time.
