Burglars saved life of goldfish after smashing its bowl
Burglars stole a laptop computer containing thousands of precious photographs, but saved the life of the family goldfish during the break-in. Monica and Lance McGill were devastated when the laptop was snatched from their home in Wollaton, Nottingham, with pictures of their children growing up saved on it.
The thieves forced their way into the house while the family were out, smashing a fishbowl in the process. But they made sure goldfish Freddie was safe by placing him in the kitchen sink, which they filled with water. The family are now appealing for the burglars to return their photos and have offered a £300 reward. Mrs McGill said: “They stole a few other things but I don’t care about that, I just want the pictures back.
Naw. They just saw _A Fish Named Wanda._
Mrs McGill (BTW – great name for someone with fish for pets) Allow me to introduce you to the concept of “Back up” as in Back Up yer files dummy!
This is misguided optimism.
That’s very nice of them, and I’m sure the fish is greatful for their sincere efforts.
Having said that, I still would have emptied my entire magazine into their center mass had that been my house. A man comes into your house to rob you, he deserves to die…..PERIOD.
Just further proof that the flippin’ English always care more about animals than people.
Awwwww … that’s so sweet!
And if they had raped the children they might have told them to “put some ice on that” like our thoughtful, sweet, former President.
There’s a glimmer of hope for the Brits in the face of the boy.
He looks pissed!
The perps would get three years for burglary, but 15 years for animal endangerment. Just lessening the penalty, in case they get caught.
Piss off the GJW (goldfish justice warriors) and they’d be sure to get caught. Piss off the cops, not so much.
Look! It’s little Amelia Pond!
Hey, why is their stove in the hallway?
It’s Not-So-Great Britain (note: rewards are in pounds). No guns allowed. There are no citizens, they’re all tenant serfs.
If you’re too stupid to use a cloud back-up or invest in a portable hard-drive, then you deserve to lose your stuff.
