I don’t think one could even be successful at stopping tax payments to the fed and shooting any tax agents trying to visit you. A second revolutionary war wouldn’t have be fought with physical confrontation by the current red coats.

Despite Shakespeare’s beautiful passage regarding Ceasar’s funeral and Antony’s speech, it may be apt to view Caesar as a man heading toward kingship or some form of dictatorship and his assassins as men who saw their rights and freedoms trampled under his rule.
As far as I understand it, they wanted to retain the Republic and did not want Rome to go backwards to rule by kings.
His assassination was a significant and dramatic historical event, unmatched IMO until 11/22/63.
^^^^^ Actually, those two assassinations were not really very historically significant after I thought about them a bit more. Rome remained on a trajectory of being led by strongmen (Imperators), kings, dictators, whatever you want to call them. It never went back to a Republic. Octavian, Caesars adopted son, went on to become Ceasar Augustus and ruled Rome for several decades.
After 11/22/63, the US did not change much politically or socially, IMO. The Vietnam war buildup continued, the inner city riots continued unabated, the movement for minority civil rights grew stronger, and the exploration of space also went forward. Nothing much changed.
These two assassinations were much more dramatic than historically significant. Thousands of years from now, if people are still around, they will talk about these events.
