To me, the biggest travesty in this whole false narrative was the ultimate fate of Officer Wilson. Wilson was stuff out of a storybook; wanted to be a cop his whole life, decorated and venerated by the community which he served, a genuinely good guy who honored his badge and was not racist. Yet his life was destroyed over doing exactly was he was trained to do.
Much like the, “Believe All Women” movement, the adherents are not opposed or even bothered when the totally innocent are sacrificed for the good of the cause.
This, “Hands up, don’t shoot” trope is a perfect example of a lie told often enough that it becomes factual.
Now apply this to every single other supposed event that the Left uses to claim racism.
Truth and lies do not control our (people’s) behavior.
What people believe, be it a lie or a truth, is what determines our behavior.
If you want to change someone’s behavior, you have to change what they believe and whoever is the most persuasive in doing this, without regard to it being a truth or a lie, is the one that gets his way.
And Officer Wilson’s life is STILL ruined. 😡
“pants up, don’t loot!” If I were law enforcement in any jurisdiction controlled be dems; I would be looking for other departments or entering another trade.
You will never hear the cry; “Justice for Officer Wilson” uttered by anybody.

You hit the nail on the head. It’s about perception and controlling it.
Isn’t it interesting that these events (Michael Brown, Travon Martin, George Floyd) that get wildly distorted by the media, and result in civil unrest, all seem to occur in election years (general or mid-term)? It’s almost like there’s an agenda or something at play.
