Adults are trying to figure out how to get out of this multi-generational financial hole that the left and right (mostly the left) has put us in, and Bernie Sanders’ solution is to keep digging.

That’s the tally the Wall Street Journal‘s news pages (not the editorial page) have calculated for all of Sanders’ proposals:
In all, he backs at least $18 trillion in new spending over a decade, according to a tally by The Wall Street Journal, a sum that alarms conservatives and gives even many Democrats pause. Mr. Sanders sees the money as going to essential government services at a time of increasing strain on the middle class.
His agenda includes an estimated $15 trillion for a government-run health-care program that covers every American, plus large sums to rebuild roads and bridges, expand Social Security and make tuition free at public colleges.

I say let him spend it. $18T is a familiar number. It is the current US debt and a little bit less than we’ve blown on the war on poverty since it began. Since we’ve been running up the debt and squashing poverty, the middle class is in the same struggling position and there are still plenty of poor people. So, Bernie can do whatever he wants to do, spend what he wants to spend and the end result: We still have poor people and a struggling middle class. Nothing changes, so it can’t really be all that bad. We’re still here after decades of debt and poverty. What’s another little shortfall in life, you should already be well conditioned to accept it. Keep bending over, America.

Though Sanders wasn’t born with a silver spoon in his mouth, he was brought up worshipping spoiled Liberal Heirheads like the Kennedys. He’ll never admit it, but he really followed the Kennedys just because they were the glamorous rich and lied to himself that those conceited Camelot jockeys had “compassion for the little guy.” He’s the same kind of pathetic chump as blue-collar Whites who vote Republican.
