The first reference I saw yesterday was an AP piece suggesting that the Kochs are controlling the president (“puppeteers” was the term) to change the country in a way Democrats on capital hill find disagreeable. An earlier article appearing in Business Insider stated that the Kochs were behind an effort to resolve DACA by of all things, sending a letter to members of congress. The nerve of some people. Let them have their network of organizations to influence politics and the next thing you know, they’re sending letters to elected officials on a policy issue. Here

Tony, thank you for making that point. Every report I’ve read (since Nov 2016) has specified Kochs’ dislike/disrespect for Pres. Trump. What a political merry-go-round.
