  8. I was expecting the loons to yell about separation of church and state (which is a false argument) but to criticize her for reading it and for her accent? It makes my stomach turn. I know The Lord’s Prayer, I learned it when I was 4 but I promise I would have had it written down if I was in that setting PARTICULARLY if English wasn’t my first language. Who criticizes the Pope when he reads things in different languages. I thought she read it beautifully and she is a stunning example of God’s grace. We need to pray for all the Trumps–they are being attacked from every angle.

    If Lazlo were saying a prayer in front of an audience in a language other than my native language, you better believe it I would read it off a card. It’s called good staff work, and not opening yourself up to criticism for not getting it right.
    Imagine if she had gotten it wrong? The hue and cry would ring throughout the land.

  14. The fact that Melania is honoring God is the real reason the left is pissed off. Picking on her accent and mocking her reading the Lord’s Prayer from a card is leftists petty way of trying to maginalize a threat. The State is the left’s god.
    First Lady Melania will be a spiritual force to be reckoned with just like Esther. God has great plans for Melania. She will be interceding for this nation as she stands with the President. What a blessing she is to this nation.

  18. Jesus (a Jew) gave us the “Lord’s Prayer,” which, if you read it over and/or listen to it, is completely, absolutely, irrevocably, incontestably non-denominational.

    It is applicable for any – ANY – monotheist, or, in fact, even the Hindus, Greeks, Romans, Persians, and some other polytheists who recognize a “supreme” god.

    Those complaining are ignorant fools, Satanists, or delusional nihilistic atheists (or delusional atheistic nihilists) who worship only Earthly power.

  25. I know a woman from Colombia who has lived here many years, speaks English very well and is very educated. We did a bible study together and she knew the latin and Spanish Lord’s prayer by heart, because that’s what she always recited. She did not know the English by heart because the Spanish one was so embedded. The translation that we use in English is very different, in word order and conceptually. It’s a great discussion to have. What’s amazing is that the “multi-cultural” left is so hypocritical for having no idea about that.

  26. Here’s a twist no one has caught yet. Trump has been smeared as a Nazi even though he has twice married Slavic women, which means that all his children are partly Slavic.

    The Nazis categorized the world in terms of Ubermensch and Untermensch, but in reality the true Untermenschen in the 1000 year Reich, the hewers of wood and the drawers of water, would have been the Slavs. The German Lebensraum was to be carved out of the former homeland of the Slavs. Tens of millions of Slavs died from Fascism.

    Now seventy years later, a man with an obvious affinity to Slavic woman is called a Nazi by people who vilify his Slavic wife in ways that would make Josef Goebbels flinch.

The part that corresponds to “Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” in Spanish directly translates into “thy will be done within me.” There’s no “earth and heaven” part in Latin or Spanish. So of course she’s right to read the translation as expected. Even that is a translation. Idiots progressives.

  28. I have lead worship services for over 25 years before 1 or 2 or thousands and because I feel it is necessary to get it right (and not my words) I have always used a written copy of the Lord’s Prayer and the Apostles Creed.

    WAY TO GO FIRST LADY TRUMP. YOU ARE A CLASS ACT.

  29. I would also add that this one Prayer, read by the first lady in a public forum and with the endorsement of the President, that it washed off the muslim islamist scum left on our nations white house. The house is cleaned, now for the nation.
