Judy Tenuta, a brash standup who cheekily styled herself as the “Love Goddess” and toured with George Carlin as she built her career in the 1980s golden age of comedy, died Thursday. She was 72. More
Judy doing material that would never be allowed today (especially her impersonation of Yoko Ono at the 18:50 mark). Watch
Good Gawd I forgot about her…..loved her
Quirky and fun is how I remember her. Surely unacceptable in today’s cancel culture, but who isn’t?
Oh man. I kinda forgot about her too. Me and the wife loved her.
Very funny lady. I’ll miss her spot on wit. She entertained and kept sharp to the end.
This is my favorite Judy Tenuta joke @4:45 mark, it cracks me up everytime;

“it could happen!”
…Especially the one about a deep woods Kentucky couple who were feverishly and constantly working on their 29th kid, hoping to finally get one born with a foot.
She’s the only comedian I’ve seen live who could say that in Louisville and cover the audience floor with people crying with laughter.
RIP sweet Polish, Catholic lady
Judyism is gone – long live Judaism.
Going to miss her. A funny lovely woman!
RIP Judy
RIP
And all this time I thought I was the Love Goddess!

Fuck Cancer. Quit taking our funny ladies!
“Hey Pigs.” Always cracked me up when I saw her shows on HBO/Showtime.
Sadz. ❤️
@Agatha
I agree.
Especially since we have so few of them.
It would be nice if nature would even the score and take a few of the bitter non-funny ‘comediens’.
R.I.P. Judy Tenuta.
