  1. @SNS – I was a freshman at Cal, but I didn’t get a ticket so was listening on the radio. Great call by Joe Starkey. I went the following year when it was at Stanfurd. They put the trombone player Gary Tyrell in a wheelchair and the entire band made an arrow pointing at him, ‘the goat’. 🙂

Did you know my kid sister? She went to Cal same years as you. She was at the game

Big Sis went to Stanford (and no Im not making this up) and talk about all the antics these entitled arrogant assh*les got into. So I just loved it when these sh*theads bore direct responsibility for losing the big game for Cal

Not only did they get in the way of Stanford tacklers, they distracted the refs from seeing that the last lateral was an illegal forward lateral. Its obvious .. lateral starts between the 25 and 20; and #40 catches it very near 20 yard line

Also, kudos to #4O for keeping his head amid all that chaos and getting into the end zone to create a fact on the ground (TD) He could have had a “Hey Ref, what is this sh*t, isnt this illegal?” moment.
