The Year of Fredo

Breitbart-

CNN’s Chris Cuomo experienced an eventful year in terms of political gaffes, public meltdowns, and awkward comparisons, all of which seemed to backfire on a number of occasions in 2019.

Here are some of the CNN host’s top “Fredo” moments of the year.

1. Cuomo melted down after a man referred to him as “Fredo” — a nickname popularized by Breitbart News’s John Nolte.

A video surfaced in August, showing the CNN host melting down after a man referred to him as “Fredo.”

“No. Punk ass bitches on the right call me Fredo. My name is Chris Cuomo. I’m an anchor on CNN,” Cuomo said. “Fredo is from The Godfather. He was the weak brother.”

  1. If he’d just ignored it, the nickname would’ve slipped below the media horizon and disappeared. But because he POINTED OUT to everyone exactly who the character is, it stuck like glue. People who didn’t at first get the reference were like “Oh, that’s funny shit right there” and immediately started calling him that. This is an object lesson for you in the value of turning the other cheek, Fredo.

  3. I knew a guy who worked on Air Force 1 when Clinton was prezidunce. The guys on the plane called him (Clinton) “Bubba” behind his back. One night they put Clinton to bed and the crew chief announced “Bubba’s in Bed” to the crew, but to everyone’s surprise Clinton emerged behind him. Embarrassed, the crew chief apologized, but Clinton said: “Bubba … I like that!” and turned around and left.

Fredo, if he’d had any class, would have done something similar.
