The YouTube channel “There I Ruined It” is the modern equivalent of dropping the needle anywhere on a phonograph and getting an unexpected surprise, but no mash up is complete without the slide whistle as a sort of trademark ruination.

That wasn’t bad, I actually liked it because I like old honky tonk music. I blame it on my dad and having to listen to a lot of his old honkytonk music on the radio when I was a kid back in the 50’s and 60’s. Of course, back then I wouldn’t have admitted it but I do like the old C&W honky tonk sound and Western Swing as well. And even my son who will be 40 this year is also turning into his grandfather. Go figure, that’s actually a good thing.
