‘There Is a Crisis in Queens, and It’s Called AOC’: GOP Challenger Enters 2020 Race to Unseat Ocasio-Cortez

IJR:

A new challenger has entered the ring in an attempt to unseat freshman Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) in the 2020 election cycle, Fox News reported Wednesday.

New York businesswoman Scherie Murray became the third Republican challenger to enter into the race for Ocasio-Cortez’s district on Wednesday.

Murray — who immigrated to the U.S. from Jamaica at the age of nine and grew up in Queens — announced her intent to run with a campaign video taking shots at the self-described democratic socialist, pointing to Ocasio-Cortez’s efforts in turning tech giant Amazon away from her district.

“Your representative in Washington chooses self-promotion over service, conflict over constituents, resistance over assistance,” she said in her campaign launch video. “Queens and the Bronx needs someone who will create jobs instead of turning them away.”

Fox News confirmed Murray’s campaign launch in a phone interview, with the challenger telling them that “there is a crisis in Queens, and it’s called AOC.”

“And instead of focusing on us, she’s focusing on being famous,” Murray told Fox News. “Mainly rolling back progress and authoring the job-killing Green New Deal and killing the Amazon-New York deal.” more here

  1. Unfortunately, for any challenger, A0C will get a shit ton of money from outside her district.

Besides, old senile Nan said a glass of water with a D next to it could win A0C’s district.

  2. Moscow on the East River will never elect a qualified, successful, intelligent Republican to this office. The only way AOC will be defeated is if a Democrat beats her in the primary, and that’s a distinct possibility if someone wants to take her down for running Amazon out of town.

  3. Damn, she’s black and a woman. If she had been lesbian she would have hit the political trifecta! Seriously, of the Republicans can avoid nominating the worst candidate (not sure about the other two) they have a real opportunity to not only take this away from AOC but from the Democrats. I’ll bet there are a lot of her normally Dem voters massively pissed off over losing a chance at a decent job directly due to her actions.

  4. She sounds like a step up for that district after the AOC nightmare, which may not be over. Moderates and independents might like her.
Yet, you know we’ve entered into bizarro world when, “reaching across the aisle” seems reasonable and not political (RINO) jibberish. That’s what dealing with commie policies causes – any port in the storm, rather than drown under socialism.

  5. Yowsah! Can’t play the race card against her. Can’t play the gender card against her. This will be interesting to see how low the DildoCrats will go to try and win against her. Too many people don’t give a flying fuck on a fat rat’s ass about sexuality and trans. So that won’t work. Hmmmmmmm……….

  6. There are more people of Jamaican and other West Indian descent in Queens than there are hispanics. Hell, they even named a huge portion of Queens Jamaica! So if the West Indians living there want to support one of their own, there you go.

  7. She’s from Jamaica. That means she had three jobs growing up because if she had only two, she was looked down upon as being lazy.

“T’ree jobs, mon! And ain’t a t’ing you can do’ bout it!”
