With Trump hanging over congress like a sword of Damocles, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce could no longer gain benefit from purchasing republicans.  The CoC was an angered [SIC] and turned instead to the Democrat wing of the UniParty with an offer of an open checkbook.

The Democrats then became the lifeline for the CoC to remain in control of the economic outcomes from policy, regulation and law.  In essence, the mechanism of CoC influence flipped from purchased Republicans to purchased Democrats.

At the time of this major political paradigm shift, it was noted by media but not understood at its root cause.  I just explained the correct context and reason for it.

♦ Now, we overlap the Trumpian shift around economic control in DC with the very specifically constructed ‘fundamental change‘ phase where an entity larger and more powerful than congress now exists.

The three branches of government have been superseded by an omnipotent Fourth Branch that controls the other three.   The intelligence apparatus is now larger and more influential than the executive, legislative or judicial branches beneath it. More

  1. Don’t skip over the forest because you’re too focused on the trees.

    It’s easy to get engrossed in the eyes, legs, abdomen, pedipalps, and cephalothorax of that little arthropod and fail to appreciate that what you’re looking at is a deadly brown recluse spider.

  2. That is why I am apprehensive about term limits. Yes, politicians are scum. However, if we swap them out every 8 to 12 years, that leaves the intelligence apparatus as the only constant in Washington.

    Be careful what to wish for.
