Many cops get that John Wayne type of attitude early in their career.
It’s been my experience that most grow out of it and become humans again.
For several years I Worked closely with the State Police who were the protection detail for a State Governor. They were the best.
Police departments everywhere are actively recruiting and hiring the most immature, unstable and socially unhinged people they can find and they are doing it on purpose. It’s all part of the effort to hasten the breakdown of society.
There is an arguement that the driver was acting like a drunk or on drugs and the police did have probably cause to pull him out of his car by force.

I fucked up BIG TIME in Bradford & swerved into on coming traffic. COMPLETELY MY FAULT.
Unknown to me there was a STEALTH OPP Yukon behind me & he lit up the cherries. I pulled over IMMEDIATELY.
He walked up behind my E-250 with his hands in the arm sleeves of his armour and said, “What The Hell Was That!”
Me: “I’m Sorry, I Fucked up. I sneezed & swerved. It is on ME. I did it.
He did not ask for ID, Lic, or insurance.
He looked me straight in the face and said, “The only reason your not getting a ticket is because of that sticker on your Bumper.”
“Which one, can I exit the vehicle?”, I asked.
He responded, “The Fuck Trudeau one.”
We had a brief conversation after that.
I will say one thing to my American Friends…
OUR COPS ARE TOPS! Be nice to them & it GOES A LONG WAY.
