This Is My Place!

Images from:

1 Blink (KC, kitty cat) [The name my then 13 y.o. son chose in 2009, the replacement for his previous cat, Milky.] KC hiding among the baskets atop the tv cabinet (Sept 2, 2009), amazing he was able to find a way to get up there. It was his favorite spot for a month or two.
2 Blink (KC, kitty cat) [Note from Claudia, this was supposed to be for the ‘Babies All Grown Up’ post, but I goofed and missed it.] KC chillin’ 5 months later (Jan 31, 2010). Like children they grow up fast. My son now lives in another state. Married since last Sept. I still have the cat. Who has recently taken to coming in the mornings and wanting to rub noses while I am still trying to sleep. Must be a cat bff thing.
3 TennDon (Eastern Blue Bird) Dad surveying his realm from The Ole Homestead.

6 Little Sis (Pistol)
7 bluebird of bitterness (Scruffy)

  1. I never thought I would ever own another cat. A feral cat showed up 3 years ago. I felt sorry for the cat, she was skinny and unapproachable. I told the cat I was going to make friends with her. So, I started feeding her canned cat food and moved her dish closer to me each day. She put on weight, I got a brush and gave her one stroke down her back. The hissing stopped, and she started bringing us gifts. Usually it was headless rats, so we named her Jihaddie. Thanks for sharing your pics Claudia, I enjoy all of them!

  3. Thanks Claudia. God has given us some beautiful companions to share our lives with. Cats, birdies, dogs, horses (for those that can afford one).

    They help make life worthwhile.
