This Is What I Will See Tomorrow – IOTW Report

This Is What I Will See Tomorrow

As I am completing my plans to leave Minnesota, I won’t even turn around to wave goodbye as I head toward the border. The last of my possessions are packed into my Jeep, and I will escape this liberal enclave to join my family in Western Michigan (quite conservative area).

By the time you read this, I will have unplugged my computer so I can return the modem and cut off my service with Comcast. Where I’m going, I won’t need to use them anymore!!! Yea! I don’t have a smart phone or tablet, so I will be silent for a while. I know, how can I stand not reading what my favorite people in the world are saying. I’ll get caught up on the posts while I recover from the drive – and pray the wheels don’t fly off my 19 year-old Jeep while I’m tooling down the highway. (PS, don’t fret – my Sunday Critter post is already scheduled for next Sunday in case my computer has an accident).

I will be sad to leave my house and my friends, but I never expected to be sad about leaving the people and companies who I relied upon these last years.

Auto mechanic, garbage company, “tree guy”, doctor, painter, plumber (yes, a good plumber!), handyman and many more. There are some good people in Minnesota. It’s just that we are outnumbered by the liberals and squishy Republican politicians in the Twin Cities.

So, farewell, good people (and that includes you poor iOTWr people who are stuck here in Minnesota). I’m outta here!

  1. I guess you’re through Chicago and not the UP?

Because we’re about 4 hours out of Minnapple and somewhat on the way. If I’d of known I’d of given you directions.

  2. Lucky you. I escaped St. Paul when I was 17. Went back briefly when I was in my 30’s and realized immediately I didn’t belong there. I will never step foot in that crazy state ever again. I’m in my 70’s now and sooooo glad I got away.

  3. Have a safe trip Claudia, I look forward to seeing those critters pics, and your replies to IOTW threads. Let us know first thing that you made it safely!

  4. Safe travels, Claudia! 😊👍
(I’ll be interested in how you acclimate to your new environment -not having to do the “nod and smile” in groups bigger than you and yours.)

  5. Claudia — Minnesota will have one less conservative to kick around and steal from now! I’m sorry things turned out this way for you, but people all over the country are getting the hell out of their respective Progtarded cities/states, too. We’ll be nomads for a while before we finally decide where we’re going. Starting to quietly go through the paring down process and sprucing up the place for a quick sale down the road.

Good luck and Happy Trails! We’ll all be eager to hear of your travels and see you back online soon.

  6. Bless your heart Claudia (that’s not always a backhanded insult in the south and it is sincerely meant as a positive thought here). Best wishes on your move and in your new “neck o’ the woods”.

  7. The older Jeeps are fairly reliable and very fixable, my “85” CJ has never, knock on wood, never left me stranded; and, this time of year you don’t have to worry about freezing. That’s one aspect about jeep ownership, the heater can’t keep up in northern winters. Be careful and have a safe trip.

  8. Godspeed, Claudia, be safe and hope your road trip is an adventure! Moving can be a hassle but there’s also something exciting about it and I hope you experience mostly or all that part of it.

Best of luck in your new pad, job, endeavors, and finding new people to grow with and count on!

    God bless! ~Lisl~

  9. I left Mn back in `98 (before I knew about F/B). Reconnected with old friends back in 2007 or so. Long story short they have evolved into Proglodytes.

Very sad. I’ll go back for a funeral or a family obligation but I would never move back. The group think is just too prevalent.

  10. Right on, Claudia! Good job getting the F outta there as fast as you can! Texas is where I chose. I came from Michigan but, western MI seems probably the best choice for you at this time.
Minnesota has become a giant Detroit city over the past decade.
Happy to hear that you got out of that cesspool there in MN.
BTW, I really like your animal posts every weekend. Those pics give me comfort in an uncomfortable world.

  11. Twin Cities?

I had relatives in Madison, Wisconsin. I can’t STAND that 3-mall town. Liberal shitbags all over the place. All of them are walking headaches. Not a single thing or person in that town is without a political litmus test. Schools, buses, welfare, yard signs, food establishments, organizations. Whomever you meet, where ever you go, there are OBNOXIOUS people ready to probe your politics and make judgements everywhere. The last straw was when the dept. of health closed down a gay club, and they cried homophobia and darn near got that disease-factory opened back up. That’s when I said, “Enough, I’m never coming back to frozen douchebagland, I’m outta here.”

Luckily some moved away, and the rest moved to heaven, and I don’t have to go there for any reason.

  12. You will no longer need to have a four eyed baboon for a Senator.

I understand that some areas of Western Michigan now have electricity!

Please get back yo us when you can.

  13. Actually, the once great state of Minnesota has become a giant Minneapolis.
    Damn sad.
Why does it seem that the most beautiful states in the union have become infected with progre…progtards?

  14. Michigan is my home state. Most of western side is very conservative, but of course, there are still pockets of liberals. One brother is conservative, the other is liberal (we never discuss politics, except when he just can’t help himself). So they do infest every corner of every place.

  15. @Super Patriot My great-grandparents moved from Black Earth, WI in the 1900’s to Jennings, LA to become rice farmers. I thank God they did as I would not have liked being born up in that frozen, uber-liberal place.
