Federalist Papers-
Reverberating the message of the film “Jesus Revolution,” thousands of individuals from across the United States and globally assembled at the legendary Pirates Cove in Newport Beach, California, for a “Jesus Revolution Baptism” event last weekend.
The monumental baptism was initiated by Harvest Christian Fellowship’s Senior Pastor, Greg Laurie. He took on this endeavor in the aftermath of the SoCal Harvest Crusade from the previous week, an event that drew a crowd of 32,500 and led to 6,794 individuals choosing to devote their lives to Jesus Christ.
Pastor Laurie, who found his salvation depicted in the “Jesus Revolution” film and was himself baptized at this very location half a century ago, was amazed at the magnitude of the turnout. more here
Wow! I cry at Baptisms. Awesome.
Great news to hear in these, to put it lightly, unfortunate times.
Baptism doesn’t wash away sins, but is the outward sign of an inward faith.
If you go into the water a dry sinner, you’ll come out a wet sinner.
Only the Blood of the Lamb truly cleanses sin.
Faith is not a numbers game, but a personal decision for Christ and a rejection of evil.
As long as they understand this, baptism is one of the most wonderful things they will ever experience.
But if they go in faithless they are only going to go home with an empty heart and a wet car seat.
It is a beautiful thing to express that faith publicly in baptism.
But make sure He is in your heart before you putbyour body in the water, and Heaven will be open to you.
baptism is not salvation
Different strokes for different folks. That type of publicly staged event isn’t for me, but I wish them all the very best. I get choked up every time I se this clip of Chris Kristofferson telling of his coming to Jesus as part of the back story on Why Me Lord.

The Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is salvation Anonymous.
Maybe you should accept him and abandon Lucifer.
Why Me Lord by Kris Kristofferson is my favorite song of his. It gets to me every time that I hear it played on the radio. I wonder if Willie has ever been saved, I just don’t know, I pray that he has.

baptism is not salvation

But believing is: John 3:16
if its good enough for Jesus, its good enough for me.
Baptism is a FedGov psyop involving millions of false flag events and billions of tiny crisis actors.
The mobster Arthur Flegenheimer (Dutch Schultz) begged for baptism on his deathbed – he believed it would cleanse his fetid soul of all his sins.
I’m inclined to think he misunderstood a few things. You can’t trick God.
Of course, it’s just possible that Arthur embraced Jesus at that moment.
Only God knows – and, as I understand it, every man is offered redemption.

“For you were buried with Christ when you were baptized. And with him you were raised to new life because you trusted the mighty power of God, who raised Christ from the dead.” ~ Colossians 2:12, NLT
JD Hasty — It is a colossal venue and huge number of witnesses, but baptism should be a public declaration of your faith and must be preceded by belief in the Messiah and repentance. When the gift of the Holy Spirit indwells a believer, it’s kind of like one wants to declare their faith. Baptism is also a wonderful testimony to those who look on who have not yet received salvation.
I remember my own baptism as though it was yesterday and it was the most thrilling event in my life. Just my 2 cents on the subject.
And, no, baptism does not confer salvation. The man on the cross next to Jesus, who believed and repented with his dying breaths, was promised salvation and paradise.
…and most importantly, it’s an act of obedience according to scripture.
