Dressed in fluorescent green safety vest, a group of Girl Scouts and their adult supervisors were picking up trash along County Hwy P in Lake Hallie, WI late Saturday morning when a black pickup left the road and struck them.
The driver steered his vehicle back up onto the two-lane road and sped away.
Two of the scouts and an adult died at the scene. Two survivors were air lifted to Rochester, MN, with one expiring at the hospital. The injured survivor is in critical condition.

A dear friend and his family live there, and his daughter is in the 5th grade at the same elementary school. This will be a very painful period for the people of Lake Hallie. Please keep the families in your prayers.

Huffing !! Prior to killing these little girls, and the mother of one of them. The driver and passenger both admitted they were huffing before the accident. Victims names released, the injured girl reported in stable condition.
