Time of the Spear – IOTW Report

Time of the Spear

The 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) is a small flexible force of American leathernecks who deploy where ever duty calls. A recent assignment in Syria had a howitzer battery firing an average of 100 shells a day for nearly two months in support of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) trying to take Raqqa from ISIS.

  1. This is bull shit. To waste these brave mens’ time, perhaps even their lives and certainly ammo to support so called “good” muslimes” in a vane effort to save islam FROM islam actually is a high crime. As much as I love what Trump’s doing, if there actually was justice he would be impeached for this, as would his three predecessors.

We have NO business in Syria, we SHOULD allie ourselves with the Russians and our Desert Storm Allie Assad to allow them to kill off the jihadies instead of giving them air and artillery support.

If there is ONE lesson to be learned it’s that democracy in a muslime country will ALWAYS eventually lead to a muslime theocracy. These buddies of John McCain will turn on us in less than a heartbeat.

  2. Have a friend who was deployed with 24th MEU and he’s a badass. Let him shoot my H&K USP 40 while he was here a few months back. He’s deadly. All shots were center punched head and torso shots.

He visited all of the garden spots of Middle East and North Africa while there. No details provided obviously.
I don’t always agree with their missions, but the MEUs are the best this country has to offer.
