If you ever get a chance to see him live. Do it.
He’s funny as hell and he puts on an outstanding show.

Amazing. My hands and fingers hurt from just watching him play.

I taught him that – after I gave “Classical Gas” to Mason Williams (not to be confused with Anson Williams).

What ever happened to the instrumentals? They seem to have been replaced by TV and movie themes in the 1980s and then they all disappeared before that decade was out. I really miss instrumentals.

It’s good, but not as good as Mason William’s original.
Mason Williams version was more straightforward and simpler. Sometimes covers are better than the original, but not in this case.

Excellent song and excellent performance! Thanks for posting that!

Here’s the thing about covers. If you can’t do it as well as the original don’t bother. If you can’t put a slight modification to make your version better in some way don’t bother. Tommy Emanuel did both.

Tommy is amazing. I discovered him about 12 yrs ago and saw him in concert soon after. Very entertaining and amazing
I think he should practice more.
Good!
Wowzers !!!
I wonder what he could do with a 12 string.

Love this guy. So talented. Will be looking out for his concert locally.
The guy is good, but too much embellishment for me. Now Chet Atkins playing the Stars and Stripes Forever is something to behold!

Nope. I’m not denying his talent. I enjoy the more melodic original with the small orchestra back up.
Sorry. The original is better. I had to jump over to YouTube to cleanse my palate.
That’s a bit like Guy Mann-Dude doing Bridge Over Troubled Water.
And here’s The Prince’s Panties…

I liked the original a LOT better….
Too much improv for me…
