James, William, Daniel, and Michael appear to be the only boy names that make both lists six decades apart.

Elizabeth seems to be the only common name decades apart.

I didn’t scrutinize fully, I could be wrong. But, the times, they are a changin’.

  1. Where are the “black” names? My all-time favorite is “La-a” pronounced “La-dash-a”.

Never mind. I just realized most little black babies are killed before they’re born. )-:

  2. We all have our favorite opposite sex names (biased by experience, of course). But I have to report that the 2022 list only has one of mine on it and the 1960 list only has two! So, what’s up with that?

  3. To my “eye” there’s a girl’s name missing from both lists, or at least the 1960 list: Ann.

On the other hand, my late Aunt Phronia’s (pronounced FRO-NEE) name being nowhere to be found is hardly surprising.
